This year marks the 6th Anniversary of Baltimore Beer Week! What a great run it has been. 2014 will bring another impressive array of beer related events for all to enjoy.

Please note the BBW 2014 Opening Tap Celebration will take place on Saturday October 11th, 2014 and will once again coincide with the Das Best Oktoberfest held at M&T Bank Stadium Parking Lot H.

Charm City’s 8 Best Venues for Celebrating Baltimore Beer Week

For the Germans, Oktoberfest ends in the first week of October, but in Baltimore the beer festivities are just kicking off with Baltimore Beer Week as the foundation of the celebration. Technically starting on October 11, Baltimore Beer Week kicks off with the Opening Tap Celebration at Rash Field, and the highly popular Das Best Oktoberfest.

For those who want to get started a little early, plenty of bars are happy to accommodate with specials and events on October 10, while the founders of BBW are celebrating the event’s 6th anniversary with a kickoff luncheon from 12–2 at Horseshoe Casino on Friday, October 10. Read more.

Local Breweries Collaborate for Baltimore Beer Week

Baltimore-area breweries recently collaborated to produce a special beer for Baltimore Beer Week (October 10 – 19, 2014). On Friday, Sept. 12, brewers from Heavy Seas Beer, DuClaw Brewing Company, Union Craft Brewing, Red Brick Station, The Brewer’s Art, and Oliver Breweries came together at Union to brew a German-style “fest-bier” using locally-grown American hops.
